Nature can be unpredictable, but we do know that seals like to lie on the sandbanks during low tide. A nice break from hunting. That is why the nature cruise departs at low tide. We are also able to spot porpoises with increasing frequency – which is a fantastic experience for both young and old.
During the nature cruise, there is a lot to experience. On your left, you will see a sailing boat crossing the water and, on your right, you will spot the characteristic Plompetoren Tower. We also sail past the Schelphoek and the Storm Surge Barrier. Don’t forget to bring your camera! Our guide loves telling you all about our favourite sights.
For children from 8 years of age we have a fun “activity booklet”, so that they can have fun learning the ins and outs of the Oosterschelde. For our younger passengers, we have a lovely colouring page of Oosterschelde National Park.
The galley is open during the family cruise. Whatever the time, you’ll always find something tasty on our extensive menu. From coffee with a traditional Zeeland bolus to a cup of homemade soup or delicious mussels. For the ultimate convenience, skip the queue and order snacks and drinks in advance.
